Talk to the tree (and give your tree a lingering hug)

Talking to the tree at Bontveit. This is my schedule for today.

I do this for three reasons. To be in the nature which is a must for my health and peace of mind. To be in the nature is a therapy in itself. To give the nature something and the nature gives back.
To get healing from the tree, and at the same time to heal the tree.
It is a two-way communication.

In the wood out there is a spot for my kind of soul activities like meditation, yoga and establish a contact with a specific tree, to feel the subtle energy it gives, This is an important ritual for me, no matter how weird it may sounds like for others.

My favorite: A birch tree. You can take any tree of your choice. Look around until your eyes land on a specific tree of your choice.
I embrace my tree to get energy, just like embracing a close friend. Then I start talking and taking my time with it. Giving a tree a good and lingering hug is a wonderful experience of its own.

Try it yourself. Choose a tree you are comfortable to have contact with.
Position yourself so you can communicate comfortably. Tell your tree your story. The tree is a creature that gives response to your contact in its own, unique and subtle way. if you feel you don't get any response for the simple reason that you are not sensitive enough to feel, sense and notice, then do not give up. Try and  try again, it is worth your patients and it is that rewarding.

Sit or stand still and open up your senses... from this moment you will be able to feel the "soft breeze", I call it soft whisper, a feather-like air blow from the tree.

This action which is for me “a meditative moment”  will bring you strength and peace of mind.
This is one way to do to develop your awareness. Contact with the nature is necessary for everyone and for people doing soul-works and healing. For you need the energy and to recharge  your battery You do this while standing on your feet connecting yourself to the ground - to your mother earth.

Do not forget to say goodbye and say thank you to the tree and the nature  around you for giving you this wonderful  moment.
