It's during the fall that one can see how past season has been. Seasons influences us. What you do today affects also your future.

Autumn time, gives nature a  marvelous bright colors. Leaves turning from green to yellow, orange, reddish, brown, then..the falling leaves..it is an amazing sight! It is just magic !

It rains a lot in Bergen ( Norway ) and you will hear  a lot of people complaining about the weather. People are tired of rain. But to use so much energy complaining endlessly that it rains a lot, is unhealthy, and a waste of time. Some facts : Bergen is surrounded by 7 mountains, and these maybe are main reason why it rains almost always during autumn. But we have a mild winter. Bergen is beautiful and intimate city between mountains. We can not move mountains elsewhere as to create a less rainy climate for Bergeners, but we can change our attitude and focus and look at the positive side of life of being in Bergen to live here. But even it rains a lot, one can still see the beauty of Bergen City in this time of the year. Just look at the pictures. There is still more coming from my own album...
"Gamlehaugen" or the old garden. Where the old castle built
by Statsmin. Christian Michelsen
This place was a two-minutes walk from my first home-place
in Bergen, the house of my wonderful ex-mamma in-law.
The park around the castle is just wonderful and the afternoon
promenade around the park is exhilarating.

Autumn or fall is a lovely time of the year.. It is like a poem, when the leaves begin to fall. I am so inspired and become poetic. The vibrant and warm colors gives warmth and inspires me a lot. It rains a lot, but for me rain is an essential part of the autumn, like the autumn wind - that leads to activities in the nature - the falling leaves !
Gathering leaves that fall from the trees is for me energy giving activity. I need this kin dof activity to keep me warm and engaged. There is full of life in the nature. It is absolutely wonderful ! After cleaning outside, I will then light up some candle and prepare my evening tea. Tea time.. is a beautiful and relaxing moment I love ! <3

Fall bring also back the beautiful memory around my trip in Paris ( Sept-Oct. 2003). While enjoying the stay at the cozy old hotel St. Germain, I decided to explore the city by foot. And one day, Bente (my classmate) and me decided to stay late and went for a short walk from hotel to find a place to sit down and enjoy the music by a street musician. We landed on a cozy little place (an outside restaurant) in a cozy little street corner, in an obviously little area nearby. It was a place that never sleeps. We ordered a mug of white whine, a plaid, and a happy violin man came and complemented us with the classical music of our choice. What a lovely memory from the most romantic city in the world !

Fall and its colorful transformation is a confirmation and at the same time a reminder for next season. Seasons, sun, rain and the wind is a necessary cycle for all life on earth. Learn to appreciate each season and it's charm and choose your favorite one ;)

Some history: Peter Christian Hersleb Kjerschow Michelsen (15 March 1857 – 29 June 1925) was a Norwegian shipping magnate and statesman. He was the first Prime Minister of independent Norway from 1905 to 1907. Michelsen is most known for his central role in the dissolution of the union between Norway and Sweden in 1905, and was one of Norway's most influential politicians of his time.

About Gamle haugen ( Gamlehaugen castle)
Gamlehaugen is a mansion in Bergen, Norway, and the residence of the Norwegian Royal Family in the city. Gamlehaugen has a history that goes as far back as the Middle Ages, and the list of previous owners includes many of the wealthiest men in Bergen. Today owned by the Norwegian state, the most recent private owner was Christian Michelsen, a politician and shipping magnate who later became the first Prime Minister of Norway after the dissolution of the union between Sweden and Norway. Michelsen commissioned the construction of the current main building at Gamlehaugen, where he would live for most of the rest of his life.
When Michelsen died in 1925, his closest friends and colleagues started a national fund-raising campaign that brought in enough money to allow the Norwegian state to purchase the property. The large English parkwas opened to the public the same year, and the ground floor of the house was opened as a museum two years later. Gamlehaugen has been the Norwegian Royal Family's residence in Bergen since 1927.
