Mackerel in tomato sauce is some of the best you can eat for breakfast and is nourishing. (Though plenty will disagree for some reason and specially because of the fishy smell). Opening a mackerel box is associated with excitement (and anxiety!) Because of spilling and soiling etc. But here comes the simple but golden tip (Thanks Ingunn) . Place your hermetic box inside a transparent plastic bag. And now you can in peace and quiet open your mackerel box while it is inside the bag. You lift up the opening ring, then pull up the lid. Voila! The bag inside is naturally soiled and that's the point! .... And you are still clean and pretty in your hands and on your clothes. Now you can serve!
