The snow is here. The second day today.
Bergen is a rainy city. So the snow don't live
that long when Mr. Rain is pouring down.
But waking up this morning to the sight of snow-fall, I was filled with
happiness. it was a magical moment.
I am free from job today, so the feeling of being free
after working the whole week-end (Friday-Sunday)is great, the experience
is almost overwhelming.
Today is the 15th of December and it is 10 days to Christmas, and 9 days
to Christmas eve.It is the day the norwegians celebrates christmas starting on the Christmas eve.
and last until the 31st, which is the new year's eve. The beautiful tradition of which the family members and friends visiting each other's home.
I'm gonna work on Christmas eve and the day before (23rd and 24th) but it happens
in the morning ( 7:45 to 3 p.m). So in the evening we will come together for Christmas at
my daughters soon to be family-in-law's abode a-topping the hill of Krohnåsen with
the beautiful view of the places around Bergen as city proper.
I hope to see the winter and snow-capped Bergen from that perspective where I stand from the large veranda of my "Compadres" the parents in law of my daughter. Looking forward to it! I heared
from the news that it's gonna be a "white -christmas" this year. I hope that the dream and promises of a white christmas will come true !

The first snow. (13th of Dec.)
It is snowing in Bergen and as far as I know. the first of this year, 2014.
I can see from where i sit in my sala, that snows are flying in different directions like soft cottons in the air. So i went out on my veranda to experience it. It is cold to touch and melts readily on my hand after 3 seconds. Ah, thanks to mother nature for these wonderful gifts and for all the season's magic. Although i love the autumn most because of its dramatic colors and sensual beauty, and the springtime's promises and inspiration, The summer's glory, vitality and warmth. but the winter is special. For it is a part of my childhood dream of which i associated with Christmas & christmas cards from afar. Now; I am here feeling privileged to experience it, Like a child, to feel the snow with my hands. i still can say that Winter is a dream, it is wonderful ! And nothing can beat the beautiful sight of the snow-capped city of Bergen.I am thankful and happy! I am proud being in this beautiful , rich and peaceful country- Norway!
